Her birthplace was in Mexico City and raised by comedian Raul Vale. Angelica Maria Vale Hartman is recognized as the originator of the La Balada Ranchera musical genre which climbed to the top of charts in 1973. Angelica Maria became the first Latino artist to reach 2 million copies sold in America. She became acquainted with Venezuelan singer/comedian Raul Vale in the year 1974.
